Why I made this
I love board games, and I've watched plenty of good ones go back in the box after one try, or never come out at all. The game was rarely the problem. Nobody wanted to read a thick rulebook, the teach ran long, or a rules argument stalled the evening.
I believe the fun is in the playing: the choices, the surprises, the people around the table. The rulebook should help with that, then get out of the way.
So I built Rules Lawyer to make the teach and the rules check take minutes. When learning a game is easy, more tables try more games.
How it keeps the game moving
Answers come from the rulebook.
Every answer quotes the original rulebook and links the exact page and paragraph. Nobody has to take anyone's word for it, because the whole table can check.

Table mode puts the ruling in big type for a phone lying among the cards, and answers can read themselves aloud. Nobody has to leave the game to look something up.
