Copyright

Board-game rulebooks, their text, and their artwork are the property of their respective publishers. Rules Lawyer is an independent reference tool: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher, nor by BoardGameGeek. Game titles are used to identify the games being referenced.

When the Service answers a question it shows short excerpts and, where helpful, small figure crops from archived rulebook documents — always with page-exact attribution linking back to the document. Rulebooks enter the library only from official, publicly available sources.

For publishers

We want this tool to send players *to* your rulebooks, not around them. If you are a rights holder and want your content removed, changed, or attributed differently, email [email protected] — we will act promptly, no formal notice required.

DMCA notices

To file a formal notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, send the following to our designated agent at [email protected]:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; 2. Identification of the material to be removed and where it appears on the Service (a URL is ideal); 3. Your contact information (name, address, email); 4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; 5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; 6. Your physical or electronic signature.

We will remove or disable access to the identified material promptly and may terminate accounts of repeat infringers. Counter-notices under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g) may be sent to the same address.
